Food manufacture

Liquid, block, flaked and powdered fats are also produced in Hull for food manufacturers of every kind. AAK fats are used in the production of biscuits, bakery products, margarines, spreads, chocolate and confectionery. Other applications include cosmetics and animal feeds.

Going out to eat

We also produce ‘Prep’ and ‘Whirl’, Europe’s leading ranges of high performance vegetable oils for commercial caterers. So if you eat take away food, or fried food in pubs, restaurants or hotels there is a very good chance that it will have been cooked in oil refined here at AAK in Hull.

For the larder

In addition to providing own brand oils for the majority of UK high street retailers, AAK UK is responsible for: ‘Less Cal’ olive and sunflower cooking spray, ‘Again and Again' long life frying oil, ‘Lion’ brand condiments and the ‘Chalice’ range of premium oils, tapenades, bruschettas and dried vegetables.
